Paul Noritaka Tange’s Special Lecture at Kyoto University of Art and Design
Invited by Kyoto University of Art and Design, Paul Noritaka Tange gave a special lecture to students of the Department of Environmental Design on November 28. He discussed Tange Associates’ design process with special emphasis on the relationship between “city and architecture” and “people and architecture”, and the importance of creating a feel-good space that serves for the needs of a specific place and its inhabitants. After the lecture, Paul Tange visited classrooms and communicated with students who are studying to be architects or designers. He offered comments on their design works and answered their questions.
