Rikuzentakata City Community Hall Ground Breaking Ceremony

The Ground Breaking Ceremony of Rikuzentakata City Community Hall was held on March 17th in Rikuzentakata, Iwate Prefecture.  The Community Hall will be built with 11million Singapore Dollars (JPY 713 million) raised by the People of Singapore to aid earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.  Paul Noritaka Tange presented the design of the Hall and Rikuzentakata Takata West District Master Plan to about 80 people including Futoshi Toba, Mayor of Rikuzentakata; Masagos Zulkifli, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs, Republic of Singapore; Chew Tai Soo, Ambassador-at-Large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Singapore and Tee Tua Ba, Chairman of Singapore Red Cross.
